Head to Luminato

1024 days ago · Sarah Lazarovic

I've been stretched lately, trying to update this blog AND post sunny updates over at Broken Pencil, where my tenure as Indie Artist is almost up. But that's no excuse for not uploading the piles of work staring accusingly at my from my desktop. So here's one of the weekly quizzes I do for The National Post. The answer is The Grange Prize. I had the opportunity to check out the exhibition, but I've yet to vote. I liked all of it so I may just remain disenfranchised.

Other things you should know: I'll have my first solo show at Luminato in June! Details forthcoming.

Shuffle On Down

1338 days ago · Sarah Lazarovic

Hey, if you're in town, shuffle over to these events:
• Thanks to pal Danielle, I'm one of 1,000 women photographed in this LUMINATO exhibit, Mille Femmes by Maraval. We each had to pick a word. Mine was jaunty, though it likely should have been unphotogenic.
• Emission Admission at the World Wide Short Film Fest! It's free if you're under twelve. Here's the first mini-review of the film I could find. It screens June 14th at 12:15pm.

August!

I'm sorry. I've been away, dear portfolio section. If the work is not archived on your lovely pages, does it cease to exist? Let's hope not. For now, Here's Ms. Merkel, a recent piece for The National.

December!

Hey! I'm in some shows -
Krampusnacht

Other Projects

Portrait Project

I'll be doing one portrait a day until I can't do one portrait a day anymore. Not allowed to spend more than an hour on each one.

Long Live Irony

This is my catch-all site - art projects, journalism, weird experiments, all founded in the general belief that irony is not dead, regardless of what Graydon Carter says.

Dress and Suit

A joint blog where me and the Mr. post our thoughts on fashion and design, and I chronicle my year of not shopping. (I've cheated once.)

The Portrait Gallery

The government has been all kinds of annoying when it comes to creating a respectable National Portrait Gallery of Canada. So we built one in our garage this summer!
